GETTING TO NAIROBI FROM SIKINGA (about 460km):

Take the local bus to Bungoma (17 miles), then change to another bus for an all day journey to Nairobi.
OR
Take the train from Bungoma instead. It's also possible to make your way the 70 miles to Kisumu and take a train from there. The problem with the train is that it may not be running, not helped by the fact that people have been illegally ripping up parts of the track. If you're wealthy (people in Sikinga aren't), you can fly from Kisumu to Nairobi.
